This calculator sets the daily workflow limit for Hub Triage from the staff available. Enter the raw staffing counts as they appear on the rota — do not pre-allocate a supervisor.

Supervision of GPST1 / GPST2 / FY2 and GPST3 trainees is worked out for you, and the capacity the supervising GP gives up is taken off the total. Expect the number to drop when the third trainee is added — that is the reassignment, not an error.

Amber or red totals need a conversation with a manager before the day starts.

Each converted appointment adds 1 to the limit. Only count conversions already made on the clinical system.
How supervision is scored. 1–2 trainees (hybrid): one Bookable GP supervises while keeping a reduced list of 5 patients, so that GP counts as 5 rather than their usual 9 (AM) / 8 (PM). 3 or more trainees (full): one Bookable GP moves to full-time supervision with no list of their own, so their capacity comes out entirely. A Hub GPST assisting is supervised by the Hub Duty GP directly and does not count towards these totals.
